Product Description
blist is the world’s easiest database. blist is all about discovering, sharing, publishing, distributing and subscribing to data at home and at work. blist’s strikingly visual and intuitive user interface enables non-technical people to work with data as powerfully as if they were supported by an IT staff — without requiring that resource. blist makes relational database creation and management as easy as using a spreadsheet.
Market Opportunity
$13.8 billion commercial relational database market (Gartner, 2005). $1.5 billion desktop database market, excluding use of Excel as a database. blist’s market opportunity includes the bottom 20% of the relational database market and the desktop database market.
DEMO Says
blist set out to create the “world’s easiest database” and it’s achieved that goal. Sure, you could argue that there are consumer database tools that are simple to use, but you’ll be hard pressed to find one that is simple and highly functional. The blist drag-and-drop user interface lets individuals build complex databases by thinking about their information and how they want to use it. The smart go-to-market strategy -- which turns non-paying consumers into for-fee business customers -- should set blist on course to be the preferred SaaS provider of database application services.
